We were honored to support the Embassy of Sweden, Kementerian Kesehatan RI and the Swedish Ministry for Health Care during the Sweden-Indonesia Sustainability Partnership (SISP) Healthcare Conference 2025 — a landmark event that strengthened the foundation for bilateral healthcare collaboration between the two countries.
At the heart of the conference was the signing of a Government-to-Government (G2G) MoU by H.E. Ms. Acko Ankarberg Johansson, Minister for Health Care of Sweden, and H.E. Mr. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.
This strategic MoU advances shared priorities in digital health, public health services, and sustainable healthcare development — covering key areas such as oncology, precision medicine, AMR, emergency preparedness, and health workforce capacity building.
The initiative is part of a broader commitment to co-create scalable healthcare models that are patient-centered, inclusive, and tech-enabled. As H.E. Daniel Blockert, Ambassador of Sweden to Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea, and ASEAN, emphasized, this partnership goes beyond knowledge sharing — it’s about investing in systems and people that drive long-term public health impact.
Several important multi-stakeholder agreements were also launched during the conference:
• A feasibility study grant between Swedfund, Indonesia’s Ministry of Health, and Dharmais Hospital to support the development of a radiotherapy center;
• A partnership between the Ministry of Health and AstraZeneca to strengthen the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NCDs);
• A collaboration with Essity to expand capacity in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) control programs;
• A strategic dialogue between the Jakarta City Government and HemoCue to implement community-level anemia screening focused on early detection and intervention.
We are proud to contribute to this milestone initiative—one that brings together governments, healthcare innovators and communities for a healthier and more resilient future.
