Held in Bandung from 16–18 May 2025, the District 87 Annual Conference 2025 brought together over 250 delegates from Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, East Malaysia, and Timor Leste to strengthen cross-border leadership, elevate professional skills, and foster economic resilience through powerful communication.

Officially opened by Muhammad Farhan, Mayor of Bandung, and themed “Connect and Power Up!”, the three-day conference featured dynamic contests, educational sessions, and inspiring speeches under the tagline “Now, Everybody Can Connect!”.

As we navigate an increasingly interconnected and complex economy, the ability to communicate with clarity and lead with purpose is no longer optional—it is fundamental.

Leaders like DTM Miranda Rumi and Prof. Dr. apt. Keri Lestari emphasized how strong communication builds resilient communities and shared prosperity in a complex economy.

With renowned speakers including Maimunah Natasha, Poh Kim Siong, Lin Ting Wei, Mas Mahathir bin Mohamad, and Stephen Fernando, the event celebrated Southeast Asia’s collaborative spirit and leadership potential. From cultural showcases to multilingual speech contests, the conference highlighted the region’s talent and diversity.

Participants also experienced Bandung’s unique blend of nature, culture, and creativity—solidifying the city’s role as the “Paris of Java” and an inspiring home for future leaders.
